Based on Google Reviews — Lexington's favorite cafe
Real guests. Real experiences. This is what keeps people coming back.
"I have tried just about every cafe in the Lexington area and nothing comes close to The Hangar. The avocado toast is genuinely the best I've had outside of a major city — perfectly seasoned, loaded with toppings, and the sourdough is always just right. The latte I ordered was smooth and not overly sweet like so many places make them. This spot is a hidden gem and I am thrilled it's right here in our backyard."
"The Hangar has become my non-negotiable Monday morning stop. I work from home and I find myself driving over here just to get a change of scenery and a good cup of coffee. The cold brew is incredible — smooth and strong without tasting bitter. The vibe is cozy, never crowded to the point of being loud, and the staff always remember my name. It feels like the kind of place that actually cares."
"Came in on a Saturday morning with my daughter and we both left completely happy. She had a croissant and hot chocolate and I had the breakfast sandwich and a cappuccino. Everything was fresh and made with care. The space is so warm and inviting — not trying too hard, just genuinely comfortable. We'll be making this a regular Saturday tradition for sure."
"As someone who is really picky about espresso, I was genuinely impressed. The cappuccino was dialed in perfectly — great crema, right temperature, beautiful texture. You can tell the baristas actually know what they're doing and take pride in it. Paired with the turkey club and I was completely set for the afternoon. Will absolutely be back, this is now my go-to spot in Lexington."
"I brought a few coworkers here for a lunch meeting and everyone was raving. We all ordered different things — sandwiches, toasts, drinks — and not a single complaint at the table. The grilled cheese sounds simple but it was genuinely perfect, the kind you actually think about later. The cozy atmosphere made it easy to have a real conversation without shouting over noise. Highly recommend for both solo visits and groups."
"I was new to Lexington and someone recommended The Hangar as the first place I should visit to get a feel for the town. They were completely right. This place has so much character — it's warm, welcoming, and the kind of local spot that makes you glad you moved somewhere. The latte art was beautiful, the scone I got was perfect, and the person behind the counter was genuinely friendly. Already looking forward to my next visit."
